Zakopane Winter Activities

In the winter time Zakopane turns into the capital city of Poland. The reason that for is that almost all people go on holiday there and because of this density of people you get the feeling that you are in a capital city. When it comes to winter sport activities Zakopane becomes „a land of milk and honey“.

The most wanted activities are:

  • skiing
  • snowboarding
  • cross-country skiing
  • ice-skating
  • curling
  • you can go for a walkl and enjoy the beautiful nature of Zakopane
  • apres-ski

What else do we have to offer is: a bob run, an ice rink and last but not least there is a ski-jump, which is very well known all over the world- not to say that it is very famous.

Pistes:
Most of the pistes are open from 7:00 am til 8:00 pm. 

There are:

  • 7 black pistes
  • 7 red pistes
  • 56 blue/green pistes (those are for beginners and also for advanced drivers).

The most wanted skiing areas are:

  • Kasprowy Wierch
    length of this piste is 1.500m — 8.500m
    cable railway 19 PLN/ 4,75 €
    chair lift (10 rides) 50PLN/ 12,50 € — 70PLN/17,50 €

  • Nosal
    slalom course 700m
    ski run 1.500m
    chair lift (10 rides) 60PLN/ 15,00€
    ski tow 3PLN/ 0,75€

  • Gubalowka
    some pistes
    streaming light (so you can also go skiing at night)
    snow cannons
    cable railway (day ticket) 70PLN/ 17,50€
    some ski tows
  • Sledgings are organised by the hotel.

There are some ski schools with English ski instructors and of course an equipement rental.
